When I’m not writing about how the world ends, I am either at the gym or pretending to know a thing or two about coffee and wine.

Based in Osaka, Japan, where I’ve lived for half my life, my career has run the gamut from management to teaching to IT and, finally, to my real love: writing, where I can use all that eclectic experience to tell stories.

Specifically, I’ve spent years making software, more recently with the help of AI, and its frightening rise always makes me think: once we unleash true artificial intelligence, can it ever be stopped—even long after it stops us?
