Guy W Nettleton was born and raised in the deep midwest, U.S.A., but has spent half his life in the furthest place from it: Osaka, Japan. That’s not a statement on his feelings about corn and soybeans, but rather an endorsement of his favorite big city in the world. No place else has that just-right mix of earth, water, wind, and fire. Oh—and heart.

As a writer, he focuses on Fantasy and Sci-Fi, but dabbles in thrillers and suspense when the mood strikes. Inspired by his many experiences travelling both in the U.S. and abroad, his stories also tend to challenge borders and examine the truths (and falsehoods) that affect us all, no matter where one might call home.

He has spent years in software development, more recently with the help of AI. Its meteoric rise always made him think: once we unleash true artificial intelligence, can it ever be stopped—even long after it stops us?
